Don't feel bad, think about yourself!

Did you know that one of the most pressing reasonspeople don't actually make a decision about divorceis because they feel guilty that they might"let the other person down"?

This does no good for you. It doesn't even help yourspouse because it only prolongs the agony. Not the agonythat we call 'divorce', the agony of being in thesituation that you are in right now.
This does not mean to get a divorce by any means.

The pain of the situation you are in now just demands that you decide to do something, one way or another.

Get divorced, or try to work it out!

According to The Abolition of Marriage, byMaggie Gallagher published by the Harvard Press in1991, "Eighty percent of the divorces in the US arecountry are unilateral, rather than truly mutual, decisions."

I'm sure that's pretty consistent around the world.

This means that of the divorces in the USA, 80%of the time, it is one person, not two, that initiatesand follows through with making a choice.

What does this mean to you?

It means don't worry about it.

Do what you need to do to make yourself happy.
Make a choice. Sit down and figure it out!

Use the Action Items in"A Practical Guide To Deciding WhetherOr Not To Get A Divorce" to make your life better.
